The Western International Pistol League (or WIPL) is a league in British Columbia with matches based on ISSF rules for Standard Pistol, Centre-Fire/Sport Pistol and Olympic Rapid Fire Pistol events with history traced back for many decades. There are national level athletes and coaches in this community.
In order to encourage new shooters, many of the technical ISSF rules such as trigger weight as well as centre-fire calibre etc. are relaxed in WIPL events.
Matches are held regularity from September through August each year at the following participating Gun Clubs:
Langley Rod & Gun Club
Port Coquitlam & District Hunting & Fishing Club
Campbell River Gun Club
North Saanich Rod & Gun Club
Out of town competitors can still participate by means of “Postal Matches" where they can shoot the event at their local Club and submit the scores to WIPL.
SFC and BCTSA membership are not required but encouraged.
